It is by John Venn who introduces the popular Venn diagram. He is a British logician. Venn diagram aids how to illustrate the concept of sets and how the set are related, classify and operates.

This is a single set in a universal set.
 

The yellow green colored box is the universal set, and the yellow is the set inside the universal set.

This second illustration is the representation of intersection of two sets. Set A and set B intersects each other.
It is denoted by A Ω B.


This third illustration is the representation of intersection of three sets. Set A and set B and set C, intersects each other.It is denoted by A Ω B Ω C.
