PERMUTATIONS PROBLEMS


Solve each problem.

     1.       In how many ways can 5 ladies paired to group of men with 8 members?

     2.       Four men are to be seated in a row of 5 chairs. In how many ways can they do this?

     3.       If there are 5 men and 4 women, in how many ways can they be seated in a row of 9 chairs?

     4.       How many numbers of two digits each can be formed from 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 if:

             a.       Repetition of digits is allowed?

             b.      Repetition of digits is not allowed?

     5.       In how many ways can 12 books is to be arranged on a shelf, if 7 are Algebra and the rest are 
  
            Trigonometry where books on the same title are to be placed together?
