 LINEAR INEQUALITIES
The condition above is very useful in dealing with Linear Equations. This is the direction of our linear Inequalities, just like a map. Other terms for "greater than" is also called "at least", and other terms for "less than" is also known as "at most". The "greater than or equal to" also means "at least or equal to" and "less than or equal to" means "at most or equal to".

This subject is common to high school and first-year college students. And mostly, students tend to quit learning because this is hard for them to tackle. Yes, math is hard to learn. But always remember that we're doing math every day without our knowledge. Your first step when you walk to the bathroom when you wake up in the morning means one step and you don't notice you just made hundreds at the end of the day. This is just a piece of daily math to learn. Take a piece a day. It's not required to learn the whole thing about math because math has no ending or beginning. Just stick around and we will guide you to learn math easily through our ladderized illustrations and examples. Also, tell others to share their ideas.

Learning Linear Inequalities is very useful in our day-to-day lives. Here, we will be able to know greater and lesser. This is also ideal when applied to ratio and proportion.
Below are the simple exercises to train our minds to learn and live with it.

Tell whether the given below is "greater than", "less than", "greater than or equal to", or "less than or equal to".

Example: The given is x > 5. In this example, you write the Linear Equation in words. So the answer is "x is greater than 5". Second, y < b+3. For the answer, you write "y is less than b +3". So if you're ready, let's start. Just write your answer in the "Post a comment" box below.

So how was it? Easy? that's level one. Here's level 2.

Since you have no problem with Level 1 and Level 2, you are qualified to proceed to the next level. That's level 3. Be careful. Blunder is the math killer here, not you.

Instruction: Isolate and show the value of "x". Just write your answer in the "Post a comment" box below.

Ok, let's talk about it. Can you explain your answers? Just choose the easiest one. Now let us give you some Linear equations with solutions for further understanding. Below were the sets of Linear Equations paired with its solution.

Evaluate the value or equivalent of x from the given Linear In equation.

just add 4 and 5

Now it's your turn to take the simple test. Make it some kind of fun, don't be in hurry. Write your answer in a "Post a Comment" box below. Just review our discussions above in case you got stuck.

Find the value of x or y from the given Inequalities.

If you have any questions or clarifications, we love to hear it from you. There's a "Post a comment" section at the bottom of this page.
